    While Ignitor and Passion X Pro go on sale later in the year, Maestro to hit showrooms this January

    Hero MotoCorp unveils new products

     

    Industry leader, Hero MotoCorp has unleashed a new 125cc bike, the Ignitor, along with their first 110cc bike, the Passion X Pro. They also displayed their 110cc automatic scooter, the masculine Maestro which shall sell alongside the existing Pleasure scooter.

    The Ignitor will be available in five colours and looks similar to Honda’s Stunner model. It deploys a 125cc engine that delivers 11bhp at 8000rpm. The instruments are a combination of digital and analogue, and the new bike comes with a split seat. The Ignitor comes with a front disc brake.

    The Passion X Pro looks like its ancestors, with a now vertical, Honda derived 110cc engine that outputs 8.7bhp at 7500rpm. It comes with stylish fuel tank shrouds and a diamond type, tubular steel frame. A set of digital-analog instruments also displays a service due indicator. The X Pro also comes with a front disc brake system and shall sell in six colours.

    The Maestro automatic scooter delivers 8.2bhp at 7500rpm and comes with a secure, shutter protected locking system. Other features include a wide comfortable riding saddle, ample storage area under the handlebar and a spacious under-seat storage bay. The Maestro will be sold from January 2012 onwards, while the Ignitor and Passion X Pro will slip into showrooms later in the year. 

    Speaking at the event, managing director and CEO Pawan Munjal said, “The new models reflect Hero MotoCorp’s intent and vision for the future and are part of a clear strategy to further consolidate our leadership position. We have a positive outlook towards the new year as we work towards our plan in the domestic and overseas markets.” Hero MotoCorp’s sales in December 2011 were eight percent more in than in December 2010.
