    SCOOP! Mahindra Mojo makeover

Mahindra Mojo to launch with revised styling, unlike older bike seen here.

Mahindra 2-Wheelers revealed their flagship motorcycle model, the 300cc single-cylinder Mojo streetbike back in 2010, slated for an early 2011 launch. It’s been a while since, with little available news trickling out, although we do now believe the Mojo will finally launch in some months to come, with completely revised styling, looking very different to what the company has revealed in the past. We don’t presently have images of the new Mojo to come, but expect it to sport a revised fuel-tank, and sporty fairing panels as compared to the more basic looking, naked motorcycle seen this far.

Mahindra has already stated the Mojo will use a four-stroke, 292cc, fuel-injected and single-cylinder engine. Its four-valve head will deploy dual-overhead camshafts and the liquid-cooled engine shall generate maximum power in the region of 25.8bhp, with peak torque of about 2.5kgm. The Mojo has already been seen as using top spec upside down front forks and a monoshock rear suspension. For stopping power, the Mahindra Mojo is equipped with a 320mm front disc and 220mm rear disc brake.

We look forward to seeing this new Mahindra motorcycle in showrooms across India in the near future, while it will be interesting to see how Mahindra prices and positions their flagship model, with KTM and Bajaj having set a tall example in the same segment, with competitive pricing for their recently launched KTM 390 Duke streetbike.
