We’d reported earlier about Audi readying a facelift of its A8 saloon. The car is set for a reveal at the Frankfurt motor show in September.
India’s top luxury carmaker has not wasted any time and now, the refreshed luxury saloon has been spotted testing in heavy disguise here.
In terms of styling, light graphics and grille up front will be new while the rear sees tailpipes integrated into the bumper. In terms of mechanicals, the latest twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre V6 diesel from the A6, and the most recent version of the 4.2-litre V8 turbodiesel found in the Porsche Cayenne may be available as options on the refreshed A8.
The carmaker is reportedly also plonk the latest version of its Connect multimedia system – which includes in-car internet access, Google Maps Street View and voice read out function – in the refreshed car.
The Mercedes-Benz S-class challenger is expected to arrive at Indian showrooms some time next year.
