British sportscar maker Aston Martin has introduced the 2016 Rapide in India in collaboration with Performance Cars, a division of Infinity Cars dealership. The sportscar retails at Rs 3.29 crore (ex-showroom, Thane).
Powered by a new 517hp, 6.0-litre V12 engine that’s teamed up with an 8-speed automatic ZF gearbox, the Rapide is capable of completing the 0-100kph dash in 4.6 seconds and reaching a top speed of 306kph.
New features on the Rapide include the AMI III infotainment system with a 6.5-inch inch display, which houses the car’s audio, navigation, telephony functions and vehicle information.
Speaking on the decision to introduce the 2016 Rapide, Infinity Cars Managing Director, Lalit Choudary said, “The earlier Aston Martin Rapide is the highest selling four-door sports car in the country accounting for over 50 percent of the Aston Martin cars sold in India. The superior ground clearance, robust road handling, four-door practicality, well-crafted interiors; combined with its suitability to Indian roads, weather conditions and fuel requirements, makes the Rapide a perfect choice for the Indian supercar buyer."
