Long waiting period for Hyundai Creta

Hyundai opened bookings for its new SUV, the Creta, on June 20, 2015. Mid-July, the company announced that the Creta had received over 10,000 bookings prior to its launch that was scheduled for July 21.

Offered with the choice of a 1.6-litre petrol, a 1.6-litre diesel and 1.4-litre diesel, the Creta is available in six trim levels – Base, S, S+, SX, SX+ and SX(O). Hyundai has also equipped the 1.6 diesel on the SX+ with a six-speed automatic gearbox, while the other models get a six-speed manual as standard.

Now after the launch, the Creta has received a rather high waiting list with the delivery period going up to 10 months for the automatic model in some cities. The petrol and both diesel models equipped with the six-speed manual gearbox command a waiting period of between four to six months, though this figure is likely to differ depending on the town or city. The diesel automatic on the other hand has a higher waiting period with the delivery time varying between 6 to 10 months. This time frame is also subject to change depending on the town or city of the prospective customer. The Hyundai Creta is available in a choice of seven exterior shades.
