Nissan has unleashed a more potent version of the Juke Nismo, dubbed Juke Nismo RS at the LA auto show.
The Japanese carmaker has tweaked the 1.6-litre turbocharged four cylinder even further, increasing power from 188bhp to 215bhp and peak torque to 28.6kgm. The extra power comes from a re-mapped ECU and a sports exhaust system.
The Juke Nismo RS all-wheel drive system retains the system's torque vectoring, which can reduce understeer by increasing torque to the outside rear wheel. The Nismo RS also employs special body and chassis reinforcements to increase overall rigidity and bespoke tuned suspension and steering.Endowed in 18-inch alloys and wrapped in 225/45 tyres, the model also gets red painted brake calipers and upgraded brake pads.
Over the standard Juke Nismo the RS gains new Recaro seats with suede inserts and leather-covered bolsters, an alcantara-trimmed steering wheel and Nismo instrumentation.
