Ford dealerships in Delhi and Mumbai are currently offering discounts up to Rs 1 lakh and other benefits on the Figo hatchback and Aspire compact sedan.

As both models are due to get facelifts in the coming months, dealers are clearing stocks of the older models. Dealerships in Delhi have quoted a cash discount of up to Rs 1 lakh, while Mumbai dealers have quoted Rs 80,000. Other benefits on offer on the Figo and Aspire are 0 percent interest loans and an exchange bonus.

The mid-life refreshes for the two models are expected to arrive this year. Both feature exterior design elements that are shared with the new Freestyle cross-hatch, along with the new 96hp, 1.2-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine from Ford’s Dragon series that replaces the current 88hp, 1.2-litre Sigma petrol unit. While the five-speed manual transmission is also a new unit, the 100hp, 1.5-litre diesel will continue unchanged. The insides will also bear similarities to the Freestyle, with a 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Ford Sync 3 and six airbags for the top-spec trim as standard.

Interestingly, prices for the new Freestyle (Rs 5.09-7.89 lakh) undercut the current Figo (Rs 5.52-7.74 lakh) while offering more equipment. The Aspire, meanwhile, retails between Rs 5.72-8.69 lakh.
