I am very confused between the 2022 BMW 740i and the Mercedes-Benz S-Class as they are different generation models – the S-Class is a completely new generation, while the BMW’s current model is the last in its generation, with a new model expected in 2023. Should I go for the current BMW 7 Series or wait for the 2023 model? Or is the S-Class better than even the upcoming 7 Series?

Autocar India says: Since the next-generation 7 Series is still sometime away and nowhere near a market launch, we obviously haven’t driven it and can’t comment on how good it will be. What we can expect is that it will be significantly better than the current-gen car. Coming to the S-Class, it’s a big jump ahead of the current 7 Series, setting a new level of refinement and technology. The cabin is brilliant and so is the comfort. Given how good the current S-Class is, it makes sense to go for one rather than wait for the next-gen 7 Series, whose launch time frame is still not officially confirmed.
