I am looking to buy a Toyota Fortuner, but I’m confused as to whether I should go for the Fortuner Legender, or get the standard Fortuner. What are the differences between the two?

The Legender is, essentially, a more upmarket iteration of the Fortuner with several cosmetic bits inside and out, which make it more appealing. However, Toyota asks for a premium of Rs 5.4 lakh over the standard Fortuner.
On the outside, the Legender gets a unique alloy wheel design, sportier bumpers, slimmer headlamps, and a unique front grille. In addition, it also gets sequential turn indicators and an exclusive white and black paint scheme.
On the inside, the Legender gets a black-and-maroon colour scheme, with contrast stitching in maroon, while the standard Fortuner can be had with an all-black or chamois interior. In addition, the Legender also gets black dials for the instrument cluster (blue on the standard Fortuner), a rear USB charging port, wireless smartphone charging, ambient lighting, an auto-dimming interior rear-view mirror, and hands-free tail-gate opening.
Besides these differences, the Fortuner and Legender share their fundamentals like the platform, interior bits, powertrain options, and have a lot in common. Hence, it finally boils down to an individual’s choices and preference. For the way the sportier, upmarket touches, its premium features, as well as the exclusivity, the Legender is a bit more compelling than the standard Fortuner.
