Creta turbo-petrol or Grand Vitara hybrid: which is the better all-rounder?

The Creta is better on the highway, while the Grand Vitara is excellent in the city.

I am looking for a car to drive mainly on highways, in urban traffic and on rural roads. Is the Grand Vitara a good choice?

Autocar India says: The Grand Vitara, especially the hybrid, is best for urban driving. It’s also capable on highways and rural roads. However, for extended highway driving, you may want something with a bit more power and torque to make overtaking easier. In that case, the Hyundai Creta with its 1.5 turbo is another option. But if you are primarily driving in the city, the Grand Vitara is very practical and easy to live with.
