I need a car for five people and my priorities are a diesel engine and safety. I mostly drive on the highway and on bad roads. I have shortlisted the Honda City, Tata Nexon, Kia Carens and the Mahindra XUV700 AX7. Also, is it worth waiting for the new Hyundai Creta?

The XUV700 is the ideal choice as it will best suit your needs. It has one of the best diesel engines around, rides well over bad roads and is a great highway car. In terms of safety, it has everything you need and a good crash test rating too. The only trouble is that the waiting period on an XUV700 is quite long, so you need to check with your dealer on its availability.
