I find the Hyundai Tucson quite expensive, should I buy the Mahindra XUV700 instead?

The Mahindra XUV700 offers good value for money, and the 2022 Jeep Compass can be a good alternative.

I had pre-booked Hyundai Tucson AWD, but I cancelled it after the price announcement, as it was too expensive. I really love the Mahindra XUV700 AWD but I'm not willing to wait for a year. And since I already own a 2017 Jeep Compass 4x4 MT, I see little value in replacing it with the current updated version. What are my options?

Autocar India says: If you liked the Mahindra XUV700 AWD, we'd suggest you go ahead and get one. It is a well-rounded car and certainly comes across as value for money when compared to the new Tucson. However, be prepared to wait a while for its delivery, and you’d have to scout multiple dealers in and around your city to see which one can offer faster delivery.

Alternatively, the 2022 Jeep Compass has many changes over the 2017 version that you own, especially on the inside, and the new features and more premium dashboard will be an appreciable upgrade. You also have the option of an automatic, plus all the existing Compass' strengths like the tough build, great ride and handling balance and strong performance. Do drive the new Compass once before ruling it out.
