Follow us onI'm really impressed with the new Mahindra BE 6e (BE 6), and I can't wait to test-drive one. I'm seriously considering replacing my Maruti Swift with it. Can you tell me if Mahindra will provide a version without that interior dashboard extension? I think it is unnecessary and, possibly, a deal-breaker for me.

Autocar India says: We echo your thoughts and believe that even though the Mahindra BE's dashboard 'halo loop' adds to the cabin's driver centricity and sportiness, it creates an unnecessary partition between the driver and front passenger while eating into the cabin's sense of space and hampering practicality.
To answer your question, we’ve been told that this design feature is likely to be optional, and a version without it will be available, either immediately at launch or in the months to come. However, we’ll have to wait for the BE's launch, which is scheduled for mid-January 2025, to get more clarity on this.
