Should I buy the KTM 390 ADV X or Triumph Scrambler 400 X for touring?

I own a Royal Enfield Classic 500 and I am looking to buy a bike with light touring capabilities. I want to know which is the better pick between the Triumph Scrambler 400 X and the KTM Adventure 390X. I go on a 600-700km trip each month, and I am looking for a smooth ride and ride comfort over long trips.

Autocar India says: That’s a very good question because the KTM 390 Adventure X has a lot to offer at a pretty tempting price. Unfortunately, we have not yet ridden the new Triumph Scrambler 400 X so a direct comparison will have to wait until we get to spend some time with a test bike.

However, going by what the Speed 400 has to offer, it’s safe to expect the Scrambler 400 X will pack effortless performance and be very comfortable to ride. It probably won’t have the same level of wind protection at highway speeds as the KTM, but otherwise, it might be a better fit for your needs. We’d suggest you wait for a few months for the Triumph to launch this October before taking your decision.
