Ahead of the festival of Diwali this year, several automakers released their overall discounts and offers across their car, SUV line-up. Recently, we covered a wide variety of benefits on offer across cars and SUVs from different automakers. Based on that information we have compiled a list of the highest discounts which include cash discounts, exchange bonuses and corporate discounts, starting from the lowest to the highest.
Up to Rs 30,000 off
Kick starting the list is the Ciaz which is amongst the oldest midsize sedans on sale today and rivals the likes of the Hyundai Verna, Honda City, Skoda Slavia and the Volkswagen Virtus. Sold via its Nexa line of dealerships, Maruti Suzuki is offering a total discount of Rs 30,000 on the Ciaz which includes an exchange bonus of Rs 25,000 and a corporate discount of Rs 5,000 on both its manual and automatic versions. The midsize sedan is powered by a 105hp, 1.5-litre petrol engine paired to either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic. Up to Rs 37,900 off
The Gen 5 Honda City has always been a popular choice amongst buyers thanks to its spacious cabin, premium equipment list, and supple ride quality. For this month, Honda India is offering cash discounts of up to Rs 10,000 or free accessories worth Rs 10,900. Additionally, customers can also get a loyalty bonus of Rs 5,000 and a corporate discount of Rs 5,000. The brand is also offering an exchange bonus of Rs 7,000, along with Rs 10,000 discount on exchange. However, there are no discounts on the City Hybrid. The midsize sedan recently completed its 25 years in India, making it the second-longest running nameplate of any car in India, after the Mercedes-Benz E-class.
Up to Rs 39,300 off
The WR-V is the crossover derivative of the Jazz which sports an increased ride height and gets unique styling cues, a spacious cabin and multiple convenience features. However, as reported earlier, it is likely to remain on sale till March 2023. For this month, interested customers can get a cash discount of Rs 10,000 or free accessories worth Rs 12,300. In addition, Honda is also offering an exchange bonus of Rs 7,000 along with a discount of Rs 10,000 on exchange. Up to Rs 40,000
Unlike the previous month, Tata Motors is now offering a total discount of Rs 40,000 on all variants of the Tiago CNG. These include cash discounts worth Rs 25,000 and exchange benefits worth Rs 15,000. The hatchback shares the same powertrain as its compact sedan counterpart, the Tigor CNG which is a 1.2-litre three-cylinder engine that produces 73hp and 95Nm in CNG mode, and 86hp with 113Nm in petrol-only mode, while being paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
Up to Rs 47,000 off
The next hatchback on the list is the Swift which gets a total discount of Rs 47,000 on its AMT version which includes cash discounts of Rs 25,000, corporate discounts worth Rs 7,000, and exchange bonuses of Rs 15,000. Meanwhile, its manual versions get a total discount of Rs 30,000. The Swift is powered by a 90hp, 1.2-litre DualJet petrol engine that comes with both 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox options. Maruti Suzuki also launched the CNG version of the hatchback in August of this year, but it does not get any discounts this month.
Up to Rs 50,000 off
The Triber is the only sub-4 metre MPV on offer today which offers seating space for seven. It is powered by a 72hp, 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that’s mated to a 5-speed manual or AMT transmission. The French brand is offering a total discount of Rs 50,000 on the Triber which includes cash discounts of Rs 15,000, exchange benefits worth Rs 25,000, and corporate discounts of Rs 10,000. Up to Rs 52,000 off
As the compact sedan counterpart of the Swift hatchback, the Dzire gets a total discount of Rs 52,000 on its AMT versions. These include Rs 35,000 in cash discounts, Rs 7,000 worth of corporate discounts and exchange bonuses worth Rs 10,000. However, its manual versions only get a total discount of Rs 17,000. Sharing the same powertrain as the Swift, the Dzire is powered by a 90hp, 1.2-litre DualJet petrol engine which is mated to a 5-speed manual or AMT gearbox.
Up to Rs 56,000 off
The high-riding S Presso hatchback gets the highest discount amongst Maruti Suzuki’s Arena line-up of cars. This involves a total discount of Rs 56,000 on its manual variants, which includes cash discounts of Rs 35,000, corporate discounts worth Rs 6,000 and exchange bonuses of Rs 15,000. Meanwhile, the AMT variants of the S Presso get a total discount of Rs 46,000 that includes cash discounts of Rs 25,000, corporate discounts worth Rs 6,000, and exchange bonuses of Rs 15,000. Up to Rs 60,000 off
The Harrier and Safari are the two models from Tata Motors that get the highest discounts this month. The brand is offering a total discount of Rs 60,000 on the Kaziranga Editions of the SUVs which includes cash discounts worth Rs 20,000 and exchange bonuses of Rs 40,000. Meanwhile, all other variants except for the Jet Editions of the SUVs get an overall discount of Rs 40,000. Both SUVs are powered by the 170hp, 2.0-litre diesel engine that's offered with the choice of a 6-speed manual or an automatic gearbox. Up to Rs 80,000 off
Topping our list is the Taigun which gets the highest discount of Rs 80,000. Volkswagen’s midsize SUV gets a choice of two turbo-charged petrol engine options - a 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre unit. This month, the German brand is offering benefits of up to Rs 30,000 on the SUV’s base 1.0-litre Comfortline variant and up to Rs 55,000 for its remaining 1.0-litre variants. Meanwhile, customers can avail the highest discount of Rs 80,000 on the 1.5-litre GT manual version of the Taigun. The range-topping1.5-litre GT DSG version on the other hand gets benefits of Rs 30,000. The midsize SUV rivals the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq and the recently launched Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder.
