Hyundai recently launched the i20 facelift and an important update is the discontinuation of the turbo-petrol engine. The Korean marque now offers the i20 facelift with just a 1.2-litre petrol engine that produces 83hp and 115Nm of torque. The engine is mated to either a 5-speed manual transmission or a CVT automatic, and the engine makes 88hp paired with the latter. In this article, we explain the various trim levels with their prices and features.
Hyundai offers the i20 in five trims – Era, Magna, Sportz, Asta and Asta (O) – and all trims are offered with a 5-speed manual transmission. The Sportz and the Asta trims, meanwhile, are also offered with a CVT. It gets six monotone colour options – Fiery Red, Amazon Grey, Atlas White, Titan Grey, Typhoon Silver and Starry Night – and two dual tone shades – Fiery Red and Atlas White with Abyss Black roof – for the Sportz, Asta and Asta (O) trims.
Here's a detailed look at each trim highlighting their key features:

In addition to the Era trim, it gets

The i20 gets all of its safety features including six airbags and ESC as standard on all trims. The base Era trim, however, misses out on essential features such as an infotainment system, rear AC vents, and all-four power windows. The Magna trim adds some of these essentials, while the Sportz trim gives the best value for its price. However, its the top-spec Asta trim that offers the most impressive amount of kit for a reasonable price. The Asta (O) variant offers connected car tech and a 10.25-inch touchscreen at a Rs 70,000 premium over the Asta trim.
The Hyundai i20 facelift rivals premium hatchbacks like the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Toyota Glanza and the Tata Altroz. While the pre-facelift model came with a 120hp, 172Nm, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, that's now been reserved only for the upcoming i20 N Line facelift. In the segment, only the Altroz offers a turbo-petrol engine – a 1.2-litre unit producing 110hp and 140Nm of torque.
