Mahindra has replaced its first-ever compact SUV, the Quanto, with a heavily revised version badged the NuvoSport.
The NuvoSport is based on the same platform as the TUV300 and uses an all-new diesel engine.
The front fascia looks quite cluttered with the high-set grille, LED DRLs, large airdam, fog-lamps and faux bash plate.
The 1.5-litre motor is from Mahindra's new engine family and while output is similar to the Quanto's unit, it is closely related to the TUV300's engine.
The LED DRL strip sits above the headlamps as a separate unit.
The interior is mostly unchanged with the notable addition on the top trim being the touchscreen infotainment system.
The second-row bench now gets a reclining function though the rear jump seats need to be folded flat for occupants to use it.
The digital display on the instrument cluster only displays the odometer while the remaining information is displayed on a small display atop the centre air-con vents.
Unlike on the Scorpio and XUV500, the infotainment system is an aftermarket unit from Kenwood and not a custom one developed for the compact SUV.
A five-speed manual gearbox is standard but the mid and top variants get the option of a new five-speed AMT unit.
The new engine is badged mHawk100, representing its power output which is rated at 102hp.
