Ravi Shastri's Audi 100 and Jehangir Nicholson's (ex Sheriff of Mumbai) BMW 325i graced the entry. American muscle cars aplenty at this year's rally. A couple of Mercedes SLS gullwings wowed the audience with their unique doors. Modern Classic also include SUVs. Here on display – Range Rover, Toyota Hilux and a Defender. Two pristine examples of Jaguar E-Types – a coupe and a convertible. Both powered by V12s. An Aston Martin DBS lurking in the background. A Pontiac Trans Am Firebird. A Rolls-Royce Silver Seraph – it used a V12 engine from BMW. Blending in performance and style, Vredestein's range now also has premium SUV tyres. A Humvee Military Edition with all independent suspension. A couple of Alfa Romeos and a VW Golf. A silver Corvette C4 grabbed a lot of eyeballs for its iconic shape. The rally was flagged off by Mumbai BJP President and MLA Ashish Shelar. People came in spades to watch the classic icons take to the road. The Citroen DS was a car with more innovations than any other of its time. A Mercedes 450 SLC leading a BMW and a Corvette. The Bentley Brooklands was one of the most exotic cars at the show with upwards of 1000Nm of torque. This particular Audi 100 belongs to Ravi Shastri which was awarded to him at the 1985 Benson and Hedges World Championship of Cricket. Modern classics have become the most popular genre of classic cars; and the rally is a reflection of growing interest in this category of cars among collectors and auto aficionados
