Back in 2016, Mahindra acquired 60 percent stake in Classic Legends Private Limited, a company that not only owns all of BSA, but also has an exclusive brand license agreement with Jawa Moto for India and other geographies in Asia. While Mahindra is still setting up shop to sell its Jawas in India, the brand from Czech Republic has introduced its third new offering in Europe – the Jawa 350 Special.

In terms of styling, this new motorcycle harks back to the brand’s racing past. The large fairing, retro colour scheme and extensive use of chrome give the motorcycle an era-correct appearance. The bike also has a rounded headlight cowl, twin upswept exhausts, flat seat and café racer-like tail section.

The Jawa 350 Special has kerb weight of 171kg, 11kg more than the Jawa 350 OHC it is based on. Powering it is the same single-cylinder, air-cooled engine found on the 350 OHC. This motor is made by Chinese manufacturer Shinray, with a fuel injection system from Delphi. The 397cc unit produces 27.7hp at 6,500rpm and a maximum torque figure of 30.6Nm coming in at 5,000rpm.

However, like the 660 Vintage and 350 OHC, this motorcycle will not make its way to India. But, we can expect a motorcycle with a Jawa badge to be available in India soon, and it is expected to share its engine platform with the Mahindra Mojo.
