Suzuki has launched the updated Gixxer SF 150 at Rs 1.10 lakh. This makes it around Rs 12,000 more expensive than the older model that had a starting price of Rs 98,076 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The 2019 bike features styling and equipment that’s similar to the new Gixxer SF 250’s.

For 2019, the SF 150 uses a revised fairing that now features a sharp-looking LED headlight, which it shares with its larger sibling – the Gixxer SF 250. Other new additions include a new split-seat configuration, in place of the single seat one on the older model. The updated bike also uses a sportier clip-on handlebar that could change the riding position slightly, but that remains to be seen. The chrome garnish on the double-barrel exhaust has gone through a redesign as well. Similarly, the instrument cluster has been tweaked a bit and now features a slightly different layout and a white backlight, instead of an orange one.

The Gixxer SF 150 continues to be powered by the same 154.9cc, single-cylinder air-cooled engine as the current model. However, it makes a slightly lower 14.1hp and 14Nm of torque. Other hardware elements, like the suspension and brakes, also remain the same and it uses a 41mm telescopic fork and monoshock, with disc brakes at both ends. Suzuki has said that it has strengthened the frame on the new bike with a thicker centre tube and retuned the suspension slightly. ABS continues to be a single-channel system like that on the older model.

Competition to the 2019 Suzuki Gixxer SF 150 comes from Hero’s newly-launched Xtreme 200S, which is priced at Rs 98,500.
