UPDATE: Dealers originally suggested that it would be on June 15, Triumph has now told us it will be July 1 and we have updated this story accordingly.
Triumph’s sporty middleweight naked, the 2020 Street Triple RS will see a price hike of around Rs 50,000 on its on-road cost from July 1. The ex-showroom India price will go up by Rs 20,000, which will take the on-road cost up by Rs 20,000-25,000.
The 2020 Street Triple RS was launched at the same price (Rs 11.13 lakh) as the 2019 model. This was quite impressive as the 2020 model did get a number of updates. The RS is known for its stellar performance, and its top-spec components took the middleweight sport-naked segment by storm when the model was first launched in 2017.
We rode 2020 Street Triple RS a few months ago and were impressed with what Triumph has managed to achieve with it. The 765cc engine now makes more torque than before, the quickshifter is now bi-driectional, the styling has been reworked and the TFT dash now has new graphics, among other changes.
Like before, the Triumph Street Triple RS has no direct rival. However, that could change if KTM launches the 890 Duke R in India.
