BMW Motorrad has unveiled the 2022 S 1000 RR, which features a new colourway and M chassis kit as standard.

2022 BMW S 1000 RR: what’s new?
To begin with, the 2022 BMW S 1000 RR gets a new ‘Style Passion with Mineral Grey metallic’ colourway. It consists of a metallic grey and black colour combination, with red accents on the fairing and the tail section.
Coming to the chassis, BMW has thrown in the M chassis kit as standard. It includes a swingarm with adjustable pivot point and a rear lift as standard. The ability to adjust the swingarm pivot point will help with the need to alter the geometry to suit a particular racetrack.
In terms of the packages the BMW S 1000 RR is available with, the company has dropped the Sport package for 2022, while customers can opt for Dynamic, Race and M packages.
The Dynamic package gets you Riding Modes Pro, DDC, cruise control and heated grips. The Race package comes with the M Endurance chain and a sports silencer, with the option to choose the M titanium exhaust. The M package, as you must’ve guessed by now, is the top package. It comes with M Sports seat, M Light weight battery, M GPS lap trigger, M Carbon wheels or M Forged wheels.
2022 BMW S 1000 RR: what remains?
Besides the above changes, BMW hasn’t tweaked the design or tinkered with the engine. The S 1000 RR’s 999cc, inline-four, liquid-cooled engine makes 207hp at 13,500rpm and 113Nm at 11,000rpm. As expected, the motorcycle is loaded with electronic rider aids.
BMW is expected to launch the 2022 S 1000 RR in India, a few weeks after the launch of the R 1250 GS adventure motorcycle on July 8, 2021.
Updates to the rest of the BMW Motorrad range
Coming to the rest of the BMW Motorrad range for 2022, the company has introduced new colours and in case of some motorcycles, dropped colour combinations. The BMW G 310 GS, for example, gets “New style Triple Black in Cosmic black” colour while the 40 years of GS livery has been dropped.
The G 310 R, on the other hand, gets a striking “New style Passion in Kyanite blue metallic” colourway that gels with the red wheels on the motorcycle.
BMW’s middleweight motorcycles, the F 900 R and F 900 XR, also get a set of colours for 2022. The pillion seat cover that was available with the F 900 R has now been discontinued.
The BMW R18 also receives its share of new colours, a rather bright and bold “ Mars Metallic Red’ and a classy “ Galaxy Dust metallic/Titanium silver metallic” colourway. The BMW R 18 First Edition, however, has been dropped for 2022.
