Now that we are past the April 1, 2019 ABS/CBS deadline that made the safety tech mandatory, we have received Royal Enfield’s updated price list. This list mentions all the company’s models and their variants – the Bullet 350, 350 ES, 500,Classic 350 and Classic 500 – with prices starting at Rs 1.21 lakh (Bullet 350) and going up to Rs 2.14 lakh for the Thunderbird 500X.
Interestingly, only the Royal Enfield Bullet 350 and Bullet 350 ES get a single-channel ABS, while the other models gets dual-channel ABS. We believe the company has done this in order to keep the price hike of its entry-level models to a minimum. Compare the new prices to the old ones and it shows that single-channel ABS only adds a little more than Rs 3,500 and Rs 1,400 to the price of the Bullet 350 and Bullet 350 ES, respectively – a surprisingly minimal hike compared to the premium of around Rs 11,000 on the models with the dual-channel system.
