Ampere Vehicles has launched the Reo Elite electric scooter at Rs 45,099 (ex-showroom, Bangalore). Starting today, customers can book their Reo Elite for Rs 1,999 on Ampere’s website and through dealerships in Bangalore. This is the first new launch after Greaves Cotton completed the stake buyout of the Coimbatore-based EV make and made it a subsidiary.
The Reo Elite is powered by a 48V-20Ah lead-acid battery that is capable of a claimed range of 55-65km. The battery powers a 250W motor that can propel the Reo Elite to a top speed of 25kph; this means a license or registration isn’t mandatory to ride it. The e-scooter is also relatively light at 86kg.
