Ather has been steadily drip-feeding us tidbits of information regarding the Rizta electric scooter ahead of its reveal on April 6, which also coincides with the Ather Community Day.
- TFT display’s layout is very similar to 450X’s unit
- Battery pack also to be shared between Rizta, 450 range
Ather Rizta TFT display, battery pack
It seems like the battery pack won’t be the only thing shared between the Rizta and the 450X, as the video posted on the company’s social media handle revealed that the Rizta will have a TFT dash that looks uncannily similar to the one on the 450X. While the dash has been blurred out in the video, we can clearly make out the yellow ‘wing’ style speedometer.
Ather is driving home the point that it is testing its new product rigorously before it is made available to the general public, just as it did with the 450 series. The Rizta is seen wading through a claimed 400mm of water without any hiccups or electronic glitches. A few days ago, Ather even dropped its battery pack from a height of 40 feet and it appeared to come out unscathed.
We have had two separate Ather 450X e-scooters in our long-term fleet and both performed commendably well, having run largely glitch-free over their rigorous, year-long tenures.
The Ather Rizta will be revealed in just over two weeks’ time so keep watching this space to learn of the latest developments.
