Bajaj has successfully trademarked the Freerider name.
Freerider could be an electric motorcycle
It’s also likely that it could be used as a name for a feature
Freerider becomes the third name to be trademarked by Bajaj this year. Not long ago, the Indian company successfully trademarked Fluir and Fluor, which we believe could be the names of electric two-wheelers from Bajaj. It’s also likely that Freerider will be the name of an upcoming EV. However, as things stand this is purely speculation.
That being said, there is a chance Bajaj could use the platform from the e-pilen for a motorcycle of its own and call it the Freerider. On the other hand, this could even be the name for Bajaj’s Bluetooth connectivity software. With every two-wheeler company adding smartphone connectivity to their scooters and motorcycles, it’s only a matter of time before Bajaj will follow suit.
Another Indian two-wheeler company that has multiple names trademarked is Royal Enfield. It has the rights to names like Sherpa, Hunter, Roadster, Shotgun and the Scram. It’ll be interesting to see what motorcycles all of these names end up being used on.
