At this price, the Platina 100 is one of the most affordable electric start-equipped 100cc bikes in India. It costs only around Rs 2,000 more than the kick start-equipped variant.
Powering the commuter is a 102cc, two-valve, single-cylinder engine that makes 7.9hp at 7,500rpm and 8.3Nm of torque at 5,500rpm. This engine comes paired to a 4-speed (all-down) gearbox. Brakes remain drum units at both ends. The kerb weight also remains unchanged at 117kg.
The 2021 Bajaj Platina 100 Electric Start is available in two colours – Ebony Black with silver decals, and Cocktail Wine Red – just like the Platina 100 KS.
