Bajaj has discontinued three motorcycles in one fell swoop- the Platina 110 ABS, CT125X and the Pulsar F250. Incidentally, all these introduced in the last four years, have been seeing slow sales for some time.

  1. Platina 110 ABS was the only commuter with ABS
  2. CT125X was a rugged 125cc at a similar price to other 100-110cc bikes
  3. Pulsar F250 was never able to capture the market like the 220F

We’ll start with the Platina 110 ABS, which was the only sub-125cc commuter bike to come with single-channel ABS. The Platina has been a long-running model in Bajaj’s lineup and this erstwhile ABS variant was the most expensive. At its launch in late 2022, it was priced at Rs 72,224.

Next, we have the rugged CT125X, which used to sit above the CT110X in Bajaj’s lineup. This was a tough-as-nails commuter that offered you 125cc levels of performance at a price that matched or even undercut other 100-110cc commuters. At its launch, it was priced between Rs 71,354 - Rs 74,554.

Last but not least, we have the Pulsar F250. Filling the shoes of the massively popular Pulsar 220F (which is still on sale, priced at Rs 1.39 lakh) was always going to be a mammoth task and in the eyes of the Indian public, the Pulsar F250, has sadly not been able to do so. While objectively this bike was an improvement over its predecessor in every measurable metric, it simply failed to capture the imagination of the Indian audience. The Pulsar F250 was actually updated just last year in fact, when it was priced at Rs 1.50 lakh.
