Bike, scooter sales November 2023: Hero, Honda sell over 4 lakh units

All manufacturers have reported a monthly sales decline due to the festive season rush tapering off.

The penultimate month of 2023 has seen a slow-down in sales for all manufacturers after the record-high figures in October due to the festive season rush. Here’s how each of the legacy manufacturers performed.

Hero MotoCorp: 4,76,286 units

As expected, Hero continues to lead the way in November too, but compared to its October 2023 sales numbers (5,59,766 units), it reported a 14.91 percent decline. However, it has reported an uptick of 25.39 percent when compared to November 2022 (3,79,839 units). Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI): 4,20,677 units

Honda sold over 4.2 lakh units last month, but that was a 9.09 percent decline compared to October 2023 (4,62,747 units). However, compared to November 2022 (3,53,540 units), it has reported an 18.99 percent increase. TVS Motor Company: 2,87,017 units

Hosur-based TVS reported a 16.81 percent decline compared to its October 2023 sales figure of 3,44,957 units. In the same vein as the top two, it reported a substantial 49.70 percent increase compared to its November 2022 sales figure (1,91,730 units). Bajaj Auto: 2,18,597 units

Chakan-based Bajaj has reported a 21.51 percent decline compared to its October 2023 sales numbers (2,78,486 units). But compared to its November 2022 sales figure of 1,23,657 units, it reported a large 76.78 percent increase. We were the first to report that Bajaj has been working on a CNG-powered motorcycle, and we expect it to launch in the coming months.

Royal Enfield: 75,137 units

Royal Enfield reported a 7.20 percent decrease compared to its October 2023 sales numbers (80,958 units), and much like all other manufacturers, it reported a 14.26 percent increase compared to November 2022 (65,760 units). Suzuki: 73,135 units

Suzuki India reported a 13.25 percent decrease in November compared to its October 2023 numbers (84,302 units). However, it reported a 15.80 percent increase when compared to its own numbers last November (63,156 units).
