Piaggio India has launched the 2020 Vespa VXL and SXL models in India. Like the rest of Vespa’s line-up, the scooters will be available with two engine options – 125cc and 150cc. The Vespa VXL 125 and the SXL 125 have been priced at Rs 1.10 lakh and Rs 1.14 lakh, respectively, while the VXL 150 is priced at Rs 1.22 lakh and the SXL 150 is priced at Rs 1.27 lakh.
The company has termed the 2020 iterations of the Vespa VXL and SXL as facelifts of their respective predecessors, but from the looks of it, the changes are minimal. Updates include the addition of an LED headlight, DRLs and a USB charging port.
Mechanicals remain identical to the current SXL and VXL scooters. The SXL 125 and VXL 125 are powered by a 124.45cc, single-cylinder fuel-injected engine that produces 9.9hp and 9.6Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the SXL 150 and VXL 150 are powered by a 149.5cc, single-cylinder fuel-injected engine that makes 10.5hp and 10.6Nm of torque. The scooters remain visually identical as well.
Bookings for the 2020 Vespa VXL and SXL have begun and customers can either reserve one at a dealership or on the official Vespa India website.
