Earlier today, Yamaha showcased a number of its BS6-compliant two wheelers, one of which was the new MT-15. While we still await prices for the new bike, Yamaha has revealed some of the updates it will feature.
For starters, the MT-15 will get a new ‘Ice Fluo Vermillion’ colour scheme that’s similar to the one the Thai- and Indonesia-spec bikes get. It uses silver as the primary colour on most of the body panels, with bright neon orange on the wheels. For 2020, the MT-15 will also come equipped with a radial tyre at the back and a side-stand engine cut-off feature.
The 2020 Yamaha MT-15 will most probably be powered by the same BS6-compliant engine that made its debut earlier this week on the updated R15 V3.0. However, the output figures will not be the same as the BS4 bike.
The new MT-15 will be launched in the coming few weeks and we expect to see a Rs 4,000-5,000 hike over the current model’s Rs 1.36 lakh (Ex-showroom, Delhi) price tag.
