DriveX, co-founded by Narain Karthikeyan and Christopher Sargunam, opened its first two-wheeler refurbishment centre in Coimbatore. This is the first one that has been opened and will be followed shortly by similar ones in Chennai and Hosur.
DriveX bike, scooter service centre: details
Currently, DriveX plans to refurbish 350 to 400 two-wheelers a month and has 10 service bays operational. It has plans to open six more service bays at a later date, which should further help to increase that number. This centre has all the principal features needed to service or refurbish a two-wheeler properly such as an in-built two-wheeler – specific paint booth, hydraulic ramps, a heating and baking oven, and a dedicated training area. This service centre will cater to people in the regions across Salem to Kerala.
On the launch of the Coimbatore DriveX Technical Centre, Karthikeyan commented, “The pre-owned two-wheeler vehicle market is changing rapidly. We have been successful in launching new business models, including the pre-owned model in the two-wheeler segment earlier. And now, we have established this state-of-the-art technical centre with such immense capacity closely working with ATS Elgi machinery to meet our demands in churning out the volumes for the customers.”
