Tamburini will be remembered as one of the greatest innovators in the motorcycle world.

Italian designer Massimo Tamburini, whose creations include the Ducati 916 and the MV Agusta F4, has passed away. He was 70 and suffering from lung cancer.

Tamburini will be remembered as one of the greatest innovators in the motorcycle world. He first made his mark with a revised MV Agusta Sport in 1971, for which, he welded the frame himself. Later, he founded Bimota and then moved on to the Cagiva group. It was during his stint here that he designed the Paso 750 and then the Ducati 916. His last works included the MV Agusta F4 Brutale and the F3 675.
