Ducati India has announced that any motorcycle facing a warranty lapse between March 24 and May 3, 2020 will have its warranty extended to June 1, 2020. The decision was taken in response to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. Beyond June 1, customers who wish to purchase extended warranties for their Ducati will have to do so by paying the revised prices. Ducati India said that it will hike prices for extended warranty packages from June onwards.
Speaking about the extended warranty and deferring of the price hike, Bipul Chandra, managing director, Ducati India said, “Due to the current lockdown, we understand that the entire country is going through a tough time, including Ducatisti. We at Ducati, are fully committed towards providing the best services to our customers and will stand together with them during this global pandemic. With the relaxation in extended warranty price hike, we hope to add support to our Ducati family.”
The company joins the likes of Triumph, Yamaha, TVS, Honda and Bajaj, all of whom have also extended their warranty deadlines
Following the end of the lockdown and the gradual return to normalcy, Ducati India is expected to launch its new and updated range of motorcycles, including the new Streetfighter V4. Stay tuned for all updates.
