Harley-Davidson 120th anniversary models: details

The Harley-Davidson 120th anniversary line-up includes the Fat Boy 114, Heritage Classic 114, Street Glide Special, Road Glide Special, Ultra Limited and the CVO Road Glide Limited.

In an ode to its storied past, Harley-Davidson is celebrating its 120th birthday with the release of several models finished in a bespoke paint option named ‘Heirloom Red’. Further, all bikes feature red pinstriping, golden Harley-Davidson logos, black/red stitching on the seat and laser-etched serial numbers on the tank. Outside of these visual changes, all anniversary edition models remain mechanically identical to the standard variants.

New and returning Harley-Davidson bikes: details

Harley-Davidson has resurrected the Breakout nameplate after a three-year hiatus and now it features the 117ci (1,923cc) V-Twin engine from the CVO line-up. To improve airflow to the engine, Harley-Davidson has equipped the Breakout with a larger, front-facing air filter and the bike now gets an 18.9-litre fuel tank (up from the 13.25-litre unit the Breakout came with earlier). The Breakout also receives cruise control and an optional traction control system for this year. In fact, the entire Softail line-up has received the cruise control feature as standard this year.

The Harley-Davidson Nightster Special has also been officially unveiled and it features a number of different design features to the standard Nightster such as silver cast alloy rims, bar-end mirrors, a pillion seat as standard and a 70s-style Harley-Davidson logo. For 2023, the Harley-Davidson Nightster loses the front bikini fairing (now found only on the Nightster Special) and gains a new Redline Red colour option for 2023. Both bikes are mechanically identical and feature the same 975cc V-Twin mill rated for 90hp and 95Nm of torque.
