Last year, Harley-Davidson raised the bar with the launch of the CVO Road Glide ST. Now, the company has gone even further with the unveiling of the ultra-limited and outrageously expensive CVO Road Glide RR, priced at a staggering USD 1,10,000.

  1. Only 131 units of the CVO Road Glide RR will be built
  2. Features the same hardware as the King of the Bagger race-spec bikes
  3. Extensive use of Carbon-fibre makes it 22.7kg lighter than the CVO Road Glide ST

The CVO Road Glide ST already had a substantial 1,982cc engine, but H-D has added another 160cc to the CVO RR’s motor. This colossal 2,147cc V-Twin engine produces 153hp and a huge 204Nm. For reference, these output figures wouldn’t look out of place on a mid-size SUV.

Despite having a larger displacement engine than the CVO Road Glide ST, the RR manages to keep its weight in check, tipping the scales at 356kg – 22.7kg lighter than the ST. This weight reduction is largely due to Harley’s extensive use of carbon fibre, from the front fairing and fender to the rear fender. However, this is still a bagger, which means it gets a 12.3-inch TFT display as well as speakers integrated into the fairing.

The hardware on offer is just as impressive. Braking duties are managed by Brembo’s GP4 RX calipers paired with twin 320mm rotors, ensuring top-tier stopping power. As for the suspension, Harley has gone all out with Öhlins components, featuring the race-spec USD FGR 253 fork. For the exhaust, Harley-Davidson has partnered with Akrapovic to produce a titanium end-can. In fact, this is the very same setup used on the King of the Baggers race bike, which partly explains its eye-watering price tag and its limited production run.

It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that this intricately designed swingarm is a piece of art. This 18kg component is machined by hand from a single piece of CNC billet aluminium weighing 220kg. Again, it’s plucked right out of the race bike.

Harley-Davidson has given this motorcycle almost all the hardware and tech incorporated into its MotoAmerica King of the Bagger contender. If you are one of the microscopic few with deep enough pockets and an ingrained love for the King of the Bagger series, then H-D will sell you this road-going replica for a cool USD 1,10,000 (approx. Rs 95.77 lakh).
