Harley-Davidson has announced that its global riding school is now open in India. This is the first-of-its-kind initiative from Harley-Davidson in India, and it is being conducted in partnership with Autocar India. Called the Harley-Davidson Riding Academy, the school's aim is to teach crucial low-speed riding skills and techniques to become safer and more advanced riders.
The school is open to both current Harley owners and riders of other brands. The syllabus – theory and practical – is designed with big and heavy motorcycles in mind, and will help riders learn the techniques involved in riding (and enjoying!) such motorcycles. Teaching these skills will be certified coaches who have gone through a rigorous training programme by the International Training Coordinator for Harley-Davidson.
The training modules include numerous lessons, starting from the basics of safety gear and moving on to a range of riding techniques. Students will also learn the philosophies behind efficient braking and steering.
The school will be held over multiple cities in 2020, keeping in mind Harley-Davidson dealership presence. The first one will be held in Mumbai on December 14, 2019. For more details about the academy and the schedule, check out www.harley-davidson.in
