After releasing multiple teasers, Hero has finally launched the Karizma XMR at Rs 1,72,900 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Bookings for the motorcycle have also been opened. The launch of this XMR model marks the return of the popular Karizma moniker after more than three years in the Indian market.

The Karizma XMR is powered by an all-new liquid-cooled, 210cc, single-cylinder engine making 25.5hp at 9,250rpm and 20.4Nm at 7,250rpm, which is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and a slip and assist clutch. This new liquid-cooled engine (a Hero first) is nestled within a steel trellis frame, suspended by a telescopic fork and a preload adjustable monoshock.
Braking duties are taken care of by a 300mm disc up front and a 230mm rotor at the rear and the Karizma XMR is also the first Hero motorcycle to get dual-channel ABS.

The Karizma XMR is quite a feature-rich machine and packs in a segment-first adjustable windscreen, an LCD dash with Bluetooth connectivity, enabling turn-by-turn navigation and an intricate layered design for the fairing. All-LED lighting is standard on the XMR and it is available in three colours – yellow, red and matte black.

Priced at Rs 1,72,900 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi, introductory), the Hero Karizma XMR rivals the Yamaha R15 V4 (Rs 1.82 lakh-Rs 1.95 lakh), Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 (Rs 1.81 lakh-Rs 2.05 lakh), Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 (Rs 1.72 lakh) and KTM RC 200 (Rs 2.18 lakh). Once the introductory price window closes, prices will be hiked up to Rs 1,82,900.
