Hero’s stand was a busy one at this year’s EICMA. Along with the unveiling of the new 200T, Hero showcased four new concepts. The Café Racer concept, Desert concept, Scrambler concept and Flat-Track concept are all based on the new 200T. While these motorcycles were very much in concept form, they are quite telling of the direction the brand could be headed in.

Hero’s Café Racer concept stole the show at the company’s stand. It features an impressive design and sporty stance. It employs a low-set, clip-on handlebar, single seat and sporty tyres and wheels, like a café racer should. The gold-coloured fork and lever protectors also add to its racy styling.

The Desert concept, meanwhile, features a simple design and colour scheme. The USD fork and monoshock appear to give the bike an impressive tall stance. The Desert concept uses large spoked wheels that come equipped with off-road-oriented tyres. Hero has also equipped the bike with a MX-style handlebar and a narrow seat.

The neat-looking Scrambler concept features a two-tone, grey and yellow colour scheme. The concept appears to have impressive ground clearance thanks to the long-travel suspension. Further enhancing its retro scrambler appeal are the spoked wheels and the upswept exhaust. The small front mudguard, minimalist rear end and simple seat design also help complete the overall look.

Hero also unveiled a Flat-Track concept in a two-tone, orange and black colour scheme. Like the Café Racer concept, it has a low stance. The Flat tracker is also equipped with a USD fork up front, but this one has far lesser travel. A flat and wide handlebar, single-seat and special tyres clearly show that it means business.

Since the concepts are based on the 200T, they are similarly equipped. They feature the same LED headlight and fully digital instrument console. The bikes are powered by the same 18.4hp, 200cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected motor found on the Xtreme 200R and Xpulse 200.

Tell us in the comment section which variant you liked the most and hope Hero gets into production.
