Hero MotoCorp’s electric-only sub-brand Vida launched its V1 e-scooter recently and currently it is only sold in three cities – New Delhi, Jaipur and Bengaluru. Now, a dealer source has informed us that a Vida showroom is slated to open in Mumbai within six months.
Vida showroom to open in Mumbai: details
As with all EV OEMs, Vida is expanding its reach across India in a phased manner and now we have learned that a Vida showroom is going to open in Mumbai within this year. This will be followed by other "key areas" in the state of Maharashtra, our dealer source informs.
Hero MotoCorp’s foray into the EV scooter space is still in its nascent stages but its flagship offering, the V1 Pro, is one of the more expensive electric scooters on the market, priced at Rs 1.39 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi, post FAME-II subsidy). Despite the high price and limited availability, 450 units of the Vida V1 were sold in January 2023, which is a good start.
Deliveries of the Vida V1 began with the advent of the new year and while Vida’s own charging infrastructure is still in its early stages, Vida owners can plug into Ather’s ever-expanding Grid fast-charging network since they both use the same open-sourced connector design.
