After an image leaked showing the bike fully, Hero has launched the Xtreme 125R with prices ranging between Rs 95,000-99,500. Unlike the other Hero 125cc commuters, the Xtreme 125R is a premium and sporty machine with features such as single-channel ABS (on the top variant only) and all-LED lighting.
- Available in showrooms from February 20
- Claimed fuel efficiency is 66kpl
Powering the Xtreme 125R is an all-new air-cooled,125cc, single-cylinder engine making 11.5hp at 8,000rpm, which is more than nearly every bike in the class, except the Bajaj Pulsar NS125. Hero claims that the Xtreme 125R has a fuel efficiency of 66kpl.
Nestling this engine is an all-new diamond frame suspended by a 37mm telescopic fork and a preload-adjustable Showa monoshock. A 276mm front disc and a rear drum brake handle braking duties, supplemented by single-channel ABS, albeit only on the top variant.
Available in two variants – IBS (Rs 95,000) and ABS (Rs 99,500), the Xtreme 125R is priced on par with the TVS Raider (Rs 95,219-1,02,770) and the Bajaj Pulsar NS125 (Rs 99,571), but it's pricier than the Honda SP125 (Rs 86,017-90,017). It will be available at Hero dealers across India from February 20.
All prices ex-showroom, Delhi.
