The 125cc scooter market in India is seeing action aplenty in terms of sales and product launches. Honda is the latest to have rolled out a new variant of the Activa 125 – the Premium Edition priced at Rs 78,725 (drum alloy brakes) and Rs 82,280 (brake disc), ex-showroom, Delhi.
Blacked-out engine casing and fork
Dual-tone colour scheme
Costs Rs 1,000 more than the standard model
In September 2019, the Activa 125 was the first scooter in India to comply with BS6 emission norms, eight months ahead of the April 2020 emission mandate. The switch to BS6 brought about a slight reduction in power and torque, and the scooter now makes 8.29hp and 10.3Nm.
The Premium Edition costs a Rs 1,000 premium over the standard model, with the dual-tone colour scheme, black engine casing and telescopic fork, and a body-coloured grab handle being the differentiating factors. The Premium edition is available in two dual-tone colours – Pearl Amazing White with Matte Magnificent Copper Metallic and Matte Steel Black Metallic with Matte Earl Silver Metallic.
