Honda has unveiled the Activa 5G, which, as the name suggests, is the fifth-generation model. The scooter gets an LED headlamp, two new colours and a few other updates, and will be launched next month with a minor price hike.
For the fifth generation, Honda has added a Deluxe variant. This model comes with a digi-analogue instrument cluster that gets ECO and service-due indicator lights. The Activa 5G has an all-LED headlamp and chrome styling inserts as well. It also features a new front hook to carry small bags and a tougher metal muffler protector. Lastly, the new Activa 5G will be available in two new colours – Dazzle Yellow Metallic and Pearl Spartan Red.
Mechanically, the Activa 5G remains unchanged and will use the same 109cc, single-cylinder engine that makes 8hp at 7,500rpm and 9Nm of torque at 5,500rpm. The engine, of course, conforms to BS-IV emission norms.
