Honda also says this variant includes 6 unique components inspired by the RC213V MotoGP race bike and made of 3K/12K pre-impregnated carbon which has been moulded through the autoclave method. The motorcycle features carbon fibre bodywork and parts like the front mudguard, under cowl, middle cowl, rear tyre hugger, airbox cover and winglets are also finished in the same. To preserve the stealthy aesthetics, Honda has finished these parts with a UV resistant matte clear coat. Honda also claims this extensive use of carbon fibre has saved a total of 1kg over the standard motorcycle.

The Carbon Edition continues to be powered by the same 999cc inline-4-cylinder, water-cooled engine that produces a peak output of 217hp at 14,000rpm and 113Nm at 12,000rpm. Honda has allotted 45 units to the UK and 70 units to France so far. Currently Honda sells the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP in the UK for GBP 23,499, while the all new Carbon Edition costs GBP 26,749 which is a considerable bump in price. It remains to be seen if Honda will allot any units to India.
