Honda's BigWing dealerships were generally reserved for their premium offerings, but the inclusion of the Hornet 2.0 and the CB200X signifies a change in its product positioning.
- Will sell alongside other premium motorcycles
- Prices remain unchanged
Honda Hornet 2.0, CB200X details
Honda has started selling the Hornet 2.0 in its BigWing showrooms, alongside the CB200X, CB350, CB350RS and H’ness CB350. Honda could be aiming to boost sales at BigWing dealerships with this move. These dealerships generally only sell higher-capacity motorcycles and see far less sales numbers than regular Honda two-wheeler dealerships.
The Honda CB200X shares its underpinnings with the street naked Hornet 2.0, and is distinguished by its aesthetic enhancements. The addition of adventure-style features such as a fairing, tall windscreen, knuckle guards, and a plastic belly pan gives the CB200X a more robust appearance, creating the impression of a larger bike compared to the Hornet 2.0.
The Hornet 2.0 and CB200X are both powered by a 184cc single-cylinder motor that produces 17.26hp at 8,500rpm and 15.9Nm at 6,000rpm. The CB200X is currently priced at Rs 1.47 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) and the Hornet 2.0 costs Rs 1.39 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
