Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles has announced that it will be holding a closed course ‘gymkhana riding’ event for owners of its products, in which training will be provided to them to help them hone their skills, followed by a time attack portion. ‘Street Rush’ follows ‘Trail Attack’, which was focused on off-road riding.
‘Street Rush’ is aimed at exploring the urban setting and focuses on honing skills that are required while riding on road. It is a 'gymkhana' event for owners where they get to push the limits of their motorcycles while on a closed circuit, in a controlled environment. The first edition of the Street Rush event will be held at the Chicane Circuit in Hyderabad on April 30.
Participants will be trained by Rustom Patel, a renowned name in off-road and rally events as well as training programmes. Rustom, who has three international and eight national titles to his name, is currently the head coach of Ajmera Racing India and will impart hands-on training to the participants. The event is open to all Jawa & Yezdi owners, with a registration fee of Rs 499. Interested riders can register themselves online at: https://jawanomads.maxperience.in/.
This one-day programme is designed to help riders learn the basics of riding techniques like motorcycle control, throttle control, cornering, turn-in and effective braking. After getting familiar with these concepts, the riders will be allowed to run timed laps around a closed circuit to put their skills to test.
