Mahindra-owned Classic Legends is currently on the verge of reviving the iconic Yezdi brand, but it hasn’t forgotten about Jawa just yet. In fact, it’s planning to expand the Jawa portfolio, with the introduction of a new cruiser-style motorcycle that will take on the popular Royal Enfield Meteor 350.
Gets alloy wheels
Could get the Perak’s 334cc engine
Low seat height, relaxed riding posture
While the upcoming Jawa’s cruiser stance isn’t quite as pronounced as the Meteor’s, one can still see a swoop down from the fuel tank to the rider’s seat, mid-set foot pegs, and a handlebar that seems to fall easily to hand.
The end result is a low (though not very long) stance, and a seemingly relaxed riding posture. The front fork doesn’t appear to be as raked out as the Perak’s, but it looks like it could be carrying slightly more rake than the other Jawa models.
Like the Perak, this cruiser seems to have a factory-custom vibe to it, with a bobber-like appearance and lots of blacked-out components in the lower portion of the motorcycle. It could also share its engine with the Perak, receiving the same 334cc single-cylinder unit – this would make it better-placed to take on the 349cc Meteor than the 293cc unit used on the other Jawa models. Unlike the Perak, this cruiser will get alloy wheels, with the front wheel noticeably larger than the rear.
With its plate currently quite full with the Yezdi revival, expect Classic Legends to launch this new motorcycle sometime later – perhaps in the middle of 2022.
