Kawasaki India has announced that it will now be offering a 3 year/36,000km warranty on all its machines, up from the 2 year warranty it offered previously.
- Six models launched since January 2024
- Warranty not applicable to KX, KLX dirt-bike range
Three year warranty standard on all Kawasakis in India
Among all the big-bike players in India, Kawasaki is one of the most well known, and among the Japanese big four, it is also the only one to retail nearly its entire international line-up here. The move to increase the warranty and kilometres should further help cement its position in the industry. This warranty is not applicable to the KX and KLX dirt bike range, which are not road legal motorcucles. However, the increase in warranty does come at a cost of roughly Rs 10,000 across the line-up.
Kawasaki has been on a launch spree in 2024 with six models launched in the first four months. The ZX-6R supersport made a comeback in Euro 5/BS6 guise, the Eliminator 500 was launched marking a return of that moniker in India after nearly two decades, the Ninja 500 – which uses the same engine as the Eliminator – was launched, and the Z900, Z650RS and Versys 650 were updated this year with new colours.
