Kawasaki India has announced a special discount of Rs 70,000 on the Versys 650. The adventure tourer is priced at Rs 7.15 lakh (ex-showroom), and with the discount, it comes down to Rs 6.45 lakh. This effectively brings the Versys 650’s price at par with the Kawasaki Z650. This offer was first introduced in April and has now been extended till the end of May 2022. However, if you live in Mumbai, you can get an even sweeter deal, thanks to additional discounts being offered by Anzen Kawasaki.
Kawasaki Versys 650: update expected
While the current Kawasaki Versys 650 is quite an accomplished motorcycle and the discount makes it a sweet deal, do note that it is due to be replaced by the 2022 model that was unveiled at EICMA last year. The updates include a redesigned front fairing with LED headlights, four-way adjustable windscreen, TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity, and a traction control system. The traction control system is available in two modes, where Mode 1 will be a little less intrusive and Mode 2 offers early intervention in low-grip surfaces; the system can also be turned off.
The rest of the motorcycle remains the same, including the 66hp, 649cc parallel-twin motor and the impressive, long-travel Showa suspension.
