KTM has reinvented its flagship road-biased sport tourer in the form of the 1390 Super Duke GT. The same 1,350cc V-Twin from the other big KTMs is seen here, but the GT gets new styling, which in typical KTM fashion, is edgy and aggressive.
- Same engine, main frame as Super Duke R, but different subframe
- 19.5-litre fuel tank, 2 litres more than the Super Duke R
- Comfort mode for semi-active WP suspension
KTM 1390 Super Duke GT: 190hp V-Twin sport tourer
KTM’s 1,350cc motor making 190hp at 10,000rpm and 145Nm at 8,000rpm is carried over unchanged onto the 1390 Super Duke GT. The main frame is the same as the 1390 Super Duke and the semi-active WP suspension is the same as the Super Duke Evo. The main change to the suspension is the addition of a new Comfort mode for the GT, which softens up the suspension in order to spend long days in the saddle.
Cycle parts are top shelf on the Super Duke GT, as you would expect on a range-topping sport tourer. Brembo Stylema calipers and 320mm discs handle stopping duties and lean-sensitive ABS and other riding aids are carried forward from the other big KTMs. Fuel capacity on the Super Duke GT has gone up by 2 litres from the Super Duke, and it can hold a total of 19.5 litres.
Sticky Michelin Power 6 tyres sized 120/70-ZR17 (front) and 190/55-ZR17 (rear) are on offer here. While most of the chassis is the same as the Super Duke, the subframe is reinforced to help you carry luggage and a pillion in comfort.
The Super Duke GT completes the 1390 lineup and it joins the Super Duke R, Super Adventure and Super Adventure S Evo.
